Res sacra: Latin locution (propr. 'sacred thing') [...].
In canon law, any thing, movable or immovable, destined for divine worship by consecration or blessing,
or intended for the burial of the faithful;
res sacrae must be treated with reverence and may not be put to profane uses,
even if they are on private property.
